Role Overview :

We are looking for an Associate QA Engineer (Manual & Automation) with strong experience in manual testing and practical exposure to test automation. The role will involve validating software applications, identifying and tracking defects, developing comprehensive test scenarios, and ensuring product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyse business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications to develop appropriate test scenarios.

- Design, create, execute, and maintain detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data.

- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, usability, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

- Develop and execute comprehensive manual testing strategies across the software development lifecycle.

- Identify suitable test cases for automation and contribute to expanding automated regression coverage.

- Develop, execute, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test scripts for functional and regression testing.

- Execute automated test suites, analyse failures, and distinguish between application defects and automation/script issues.

- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and support integration testing activities.

- Maintain test documentation, automation scripts, execution reports, and other QA artefacts.

Required Skills :

- Proven experience as a Test Analyst, QA Analyst, Software Tester, or similar role.

- Strong hands-on experience in manual testing, particularly functional and regression testing.

- Practical exposure to test automation and automation frameworks.

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and best practices.

- Experience creating and maintaining test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test data.

- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.

- Experience with Selenium WebDriver for web application automation.

- Exposure to automation frameworks such as SpecFlow, TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, or Cucumber.

- Experience with Playwright or Cypress is an added advantage.

- Working knowledge of API automation and testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

- Exposure to BDD/TDD-based testing approaches is preferred.

Preferred Experience :

- Experience testing high-volume transaction processing systems.

- Experience working with applications in regulated or highly controlled industries.

- Exposure to both manual and automated testing across the complete software development lifecycle.

- Experience working with distributed or global development teams.

- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices.

- Understanding of cloud-based application environments.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Equivalent relevant professional experience may also be considered.
