Job Summary :

We are looking for a customer-focused Associate Pre-Sales Consultant with 4-5 years of experience in AWS and cloud-native technologies. This role is primarily responsible for engaging with customers, understanding requirements, and designing high-level solutions aligned with business and technical needs. The ideal candidate will have strong consulting, communication, and solutioning skills, with a good understanding of AWS programs and cloud adoption frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Act as the primary technical point of contact during pre-sales engagements and customer discussions.

- Engage with clients to gather business and technical requirements and translate them into solution architectures.

- Design high-level cloud and DevOps solutions aligned with AWS best practices.

- Collaborate with sales, delivery, and architecture teams to build proposals and solution documents.

- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, solution walkthroughs, and demos to customers.

- Support RFP/RFI responses, effort estimations, and solution documentation.

- Assist in defining migration strategies, modernization approaches, and cloud adoption roadmaps.

- Work closely with internal teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with delivery capabilities.

- Stay updated with AWS services, partner programs, and emerging cloud technologies.

Required Skills and Expertise :

AWS & Cloud Knowledge :

- Good understanding of AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB.

- Knowledge of IAM, SSO, and AWS security fundamentals.

- Understanding of AWS networking concepts including VPC, VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, and basic hybrid connectivity.

- Awareness of AWS security services such as WAF, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and KMS.

AWS Programs & Pre-Sales Alignment :

- Well-versed with AWS migration programs and cloud adoption frameworks.

- Understanding of AWS migration lifecycle including Assess, Mobilize, Migrate, and Modernize phases.

- Experience supporting customer PoC (Proof of Concept) programs and technical validations.

- Awareness of AWS funding and migration support programs for enterprise customers.

Solutioning & Architecture Understanding :

- Ability to design high-level architectures for cloud-native and migration use cases.

- Understanding of three-tier architectures and basic DMZ setup concepts.

- Awareness of North-South and East-West traffic patterns.

- Basic understanding of AWS Direct Connect and hybrid connectivity models.

DevOps & Cloud Native (Working Knowledge) :

- Understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals including Pods, Services, Ingress, and basic scaling concepts.

- Awareness of service mesh, Gateway API, and microservices architecture.

- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts (Terraform or CloudFormation).

Security & Compliance Awareness :

Awareness of compliance standards such as :

- DPDP (India data protection)

- GDPR

- RBI guidelines

- ISO 27001

- SOC 2

- SEBI (where applicable)

- Understanding of basic cloud security principles including encryption, identity management, and secure architecture design.

GenAI Awareness (Good to Have) :

- Basic understanding of AWS Bedrock and enterprise GenAI use cases.

- Awareness of how GenAI solutions integrate into cloud architectures.

Consulting & Communication Skills :

- Strong customer-facing and communication skills.

- Ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong requirement gathering and documentation skills.

- Ability to support solution positioning and handle initial-level technical discussions.

- Good collaboration skills with sales, delivery, and architecture teams.

Certifications :

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in BFSI or healthcare domain pre-sales engagements.

- Exposure to cloud migration or modernization projects.

- Understanding of cost estimation and basic FinOps concepts.
