- AS 400 developer with RPG

- AS400 (also known as IBM i or iSeries) developer

- AS400 for tasks such as ERP, data management, and various other business applications.

- They work with programming languages like RPG and COBOL

- Proficiency in RPG (especially RPG IV, RPGLE, and RPG III)

- We need AS400 with RPG exp combination only

- Maintain and enhance RPG/CL programs

- Modernize legacy code using SQL or newer RPG features

- Develop and manage batch and interactive jobs

- Integrate IBM i apps with web services or external APIs

- Optimize DB2 database performance

Key Responsibilities :

- Maintain and enhance existing applications developed using RPG (RPG IV / RPGLE / RPG III) and CL programs

- Modernize legacy codebases using embedded SQL, free-format RPG, or other modern RPG features

- Develop and manage batch and interactive jobs on the IBM i platform

- Integrate AS400 applications with external APIs or web services

- Analyze and optimize DB2 for i (DB2/400) database performance

- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong hands-on experience with AS400 / IBM i / iSeries systems

- Expertise in RPG IV, RPGLE, RPG III, and CL programming

- Good understanding of embedded SQL, free-format RPG, and modern RPG practices

- Experience with DB2/400 database design and optimization

- Knowledge of web services integration and API communication from AS400 systems
