Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Java Architect with 12+ years of experience to lead the architecture and development of scalable, high-performance enterprise applications within the BFSI domain. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, AWS, DevOps, and Kafka, along with proven experience in designing distributed and cloud-native systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and drive the technical architecture for enterprise-scale applications and platforms.

- Design scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performance solutions using Java and cloud technologies.

- Provide technical leadership across application design, development, integration, deployment, and production support.

- Develop and review solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.

- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.

- Design and manage cloud-native solutions on AWS.

- Establish and enhance DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and deployment practices.

- Work closely with product managers, business stakeholders, engineering teams, and other architects.

- Conduct architecture reviews, identify technical risks, and drive appropriate design decisions.

- Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise standards around security, scalability, availability, performance, and maintainability.

- Mentor senior developers and technical leads and provide architectural guidance.

- Contribute to modernization and migration initiatives involving legacy applications and cloud platforms.

Required Technical Skills :

- 12+ years of overall experience in software engineering and architecture.

- Strong experience as a Java Architect / Solution Architect / Technical Architect.

- Excellent hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

- Strong experience designing RESTful APIs and distributed systems.

- Strong AWS experience with cloud architecture and services.

- Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins/GitLab/Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.

- Strong experience with Apache Kafka, event-driven architecture, producers/consumers, and messaging patterns.

- Strong understanding of databases, system integration, security, scalability, and performance optimization.

- Experience with architecture/design patterns and enterprise application modernization.

BFSI Experience Mandatory :

- Strong experience working on BFSI projects is mandatory.

- Candidates should have hands-on exposure to banking, financial services, insurance, payments, lending, capital markets, or related financial technology environments.

- Experience handling business-critical, high-volume, secure, and highly available financial applications will be preferred.
