Job Description :

As a Software Engineer III within the Payments Technology team, you will be an experienced member of an agile team tasked with designing and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. You will execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.

You will write secure and high-quality code, design and develop with consideration of upstream and downstream systems, apply knowledge of SDLC toolchain to improve automation value, gather and analyze large diverse datasets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making, and leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables including code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, and documentation while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.

Technical Skills - Must Have (Mandatory) :

- Formal Training / Certification : Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent engineering discipline from a recognized institution.

- Applied Experience : Minimum 3 years of hands-on applied software engineering experience in a large corporate environment.

- Python : Hands-on production-grade Python development experience - minimum 2 years.

- Java : Hands-on production-grade Java development experience - minimum 3 years. Must include Java 8 or above, Spring Boot, and REST API development.

- AI Frameworks and Tools : Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI frameworks and tools - minimum 2 years. Must include specific named tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor AI, LangChain, Spring AI, or equivalent.

- System Design & Development : Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

- Database & Querying Languages : Hands-on experience in database development and querying languages including SQL, stored procedures, views, and query optimisation.

- SDLC & Agile Delivery : Demonstrated experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle including CI/CD pipelines, application resiliency, and security practices.

- Large Corporate Environment : Experience must be from large corporate or enterprise environments.

- Responsible AI Use : Demonstrated understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

- Enterprise AI-Assisted Dev : Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.

Technical Skills - Preferred :

- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or equivalent.

- Exposure to cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, GCP, or Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

- Experience in Payments Technology, CIB, or highly regulated financial services environments.

- Exposure to machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data platform development.
