Aptus Data Labs - Senior Backend Developer - Python/Django

Description : Role : Sr Backend Developer.

Location : Bangalore (WFH).

Exp : 4-6 yrs.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python and Django, who has hands-on experience in designing scalable backend systems, working on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and managing end-to-end deployments.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of backend architecture, database management, and API development while ensuring performance, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python (Django/DRF).

- Architect and implement RESTful APIs and integration with external systems.

- Optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability.

- Manage deployment pipelines on AWS/Azure using CI/CD tools.

- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)

- Implement cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, etc.)

- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 4-6 years of backend development experience with strong proficiency in Python & Django.

- Experience with cloud platforms AWS (preferred) or Azure.

- Hands-on experience with deployment pipelines, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)

- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Good understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and security best practices.

- Proficiency in Git and version control workflows.

- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
