About the role.

ASCENT (AI Services for Continuous Enterprise Transformation) is an initiative from Aptean to ensure that our customers are able to leverage AI to address business problems that make a significant difference to their topline, and/or bottomline and/or customer satisfaction.

This is a crack team of extremely skilled and motivated individuals who can quickly immerse themselves into the customer's business problem, understand their system landscapes, ideate creative solutions, deploy the solution at lightning speed and handhold the customer to ensure that they realize measurable value.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities :

Integration Engineers will be part of the ASCENT team.

Enabling Agentic AI workflows requires accessing and updating data in diverse systems.

Integration engineers :

- Build, operate and support production-grade data pipelines for AI workflows.

- Together with the business analyst understand the customer's business, the problem they are trying to solve, data points required and the cadence in which the data has to be extracted.

- Identify the sources of data in the customer's landscape, outline the extraction technique, document the same and get the buy in from the customer's technical stakeholders.

- Write the required extractors to bring data to the Aptean semantic layer and to fill-in the ontology nodes and relationships.

- Update systems or pull data from them using a variety of technologies ranging from API calls to SQL queries.

- Help customer set up integration techniques like MCP to customer expose relevant APIs from non-Aptean systems.

Requirements :

- Overall, 4 to 6 years of experience in integrating enterprise systems and data extraction.

- Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and development environments.

- Top notch proficiency in Python scripting and automation.

- Ability to write efficient SQL queries for data analysis and trouble-shooting.

- This is a client facing role.

- Strong English communication skills writing and speaking is a must.

- Some experience with enterprise systems of record like ERP, CRM etc.

- Knowledge of business processes like order to cash, procure to pay etc. will be a strong plus.

Technical Skills :

- Python.

- Hands on experience.

- Object-oriented programming and clean coding practices.

- Experience with FastAPI.

- API & System Integration.

- REST API development and integration.

- API authentication: OAuth 2.0, API Keys, JWT, Basic Authentication.

- API pagination, rate limiting, retries, timeouts, and error handling.

- Real-time and batch integrations.

- Synchronous and asynchronous integrations.

- Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and development environments.

- Data formats: JSON, XML, CSV, Fixed width/ delimited files, and Excel.

- SQL Skills Experience extracting/ingesting data from/to databases & data warehouses like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake etc.

- Experience with integrations with ERPs (Aptean ERPs, SAP, NetSuite etc.), CRM, Warehouse Management Systems, Supply Chain Planning systems etc. will be a strong plus.

Job Specifications :

- Education : Bachelor's degree Engineering preferably Computer Science / master's degree preferred.
