Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer - GCP & GKE with 6 - 8 years of overall experience, including at least 4 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and strong practical expertise in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

The ideal candidate should have experience building and operating cloud-native applications, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code on Google Cloud.

A relevant Google Cloud (GCP) certification is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Build, manage, upgrade, and troubleshoot Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters, including networking, node pools, autoscaling, upgrades, security, and performance optimization.

- Deploy and manage containerized applications on Cloud Run, including revisions, traffic splitting, autoscaling, and custom domain configurations.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Google Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar tools.

- Automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform, reusable modules, and scripting with Shell or Python.

- Manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

- Configure and manage Artifact Registry for container image storage and lifecycle management.

- Implement GitOps deployment workflows using Argo CD (preferred).

- Configure and manage GCP networking, including VPC, Shared VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud NAT, Cloud DNS, firewall rules, and private networking.

- Implement cloud security best practices using IAM, Workload Identity, Service Accounts, Secret Manager, encryption, and least-privilege access.

- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Google Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Managed Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting policies.

- Support application reliability through high availability, disaster recovery, backup strategies, autoscaling, and performance tuning.

- Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency using rightsizing, autoscaling, and GCP cost optimization best practices.

- Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and client teams to deliver reliable cloud-native solutions.

- Participate in production incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Mandatory :

- 6 - 8 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.

- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Strong hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Kubernetes.

- Relevant Google Cloud Certification (Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, or Professional Cloud Engineer) is mandatory.

- Strong experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

- Experience with Docker, Helm, Git, Linux, and Shell/Python scripting.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD automation using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.

- Experience deploying workloads on Cloud Run.

- Strong understanding of GCP networking, including VPC, Load Balancing, Cloud NAT, Cloud DNS, firewall rules, and private networking.

- Experience with Artifact Registry, Secret Manager, IAM, Service Accounts, and Workload Identity.

- Experience implementing monitoring and observability using Google Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Managed Prometheus, and Grafana.

- Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, autoscaling, rolling deployments, and cluster upgrades.

- Experience with cloud security, Infrastructure as Code best practices, and deployment automation.

- Good troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience with Argo CD and GitOps workflows.

- Experience with Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Functions, Eventarc, or Cloud Tasks.

- Experience with Istio or service mesh technologies.

- Experience with Config Connector, OPA/Gatekeeper, or Kubernetes policy management.

- Experience working in multi-project or enterprise-scale GCP environments.

- Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.
