About APPWRK And The Opportunity :
We partner with global brands to build high quality mobile and web applications.
For this position, we are hiring on behalf of one of our key clients, a product based company that is expanding its iOS engineering team.
You will be on APPWRK payroll and benefit from our culture and processes while working closely with the client team.
The role is primarily based in our Mohali office and may require occasional short visits to the client office for workshops, planning sessions or major releases.
About The Role :
You will build high quality iOS apps for global clients, work closely with designers, backend engineers and product managers, and own features end to end from concept to App Store release.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop native iOS applications using Swift.
- Convert Figma or XD designs into smooth, responsive iOS screens.
- Integrate with RESTful APIs, third party SDKs and internal services.
- Implement navigation flows, local storage, background tasks and push notifications.
- Follow and enforce Apple Human Interface Guidelines for UX and UI.
- Write clean, maintainable and well documented code using best practices.
- Implement unit tests and UI tests and ensure reliability before releases.
- Work with QA and DevOps for App Store builds, provisioning and release management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, memory and crashes.
- Stay updated with latest iOS frameworks and new features from Apple.
Required Skills And Qualifications :
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Strong experience in Swift and iOS SDK.
- Hands on experience with UIKit, Auto Layout and Storyboards or programmatic UI.
- Good understanding of concurrency in iOS, GCD and async or await.
- Experience with local data storage such as Core Data, Realm or SQLite.
- Good understanding of app life cycle and view controller life cycle.
- Experience with push notifications and deep linking.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON and API versioning.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of architectural patterns like MVC, MVVM or VIPER is a plus.
- Strong debugging skills using Xcode tools, Instruments and profilers.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams and clients.
Nice To Have :
- Experience with SwiftUI and Combine.
- Experience building Universal apps for iPhone and iPad.
- Familiarity with CI and CD for iOS, TestFlight and Fastlane.
- Experience with integrations such as Apple Pay, Sign In with Apple, HealthKit or WatchOS.
- Exposure to cross platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter, not mandatory.
