Role Overview :

As an Application Packaging Specialist, you will be responsible for the entire application packaging lifecycle, from initial assessment and design to testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. You will collaborate closely with IT infrastructure teams, application owners, and end-users to ensure seamless and efficient software delivery across the organization. Your expertise will be crucial in standardizing application deployment processes, improving user experience, and maintaining a secure and compliant IT environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop application packages using industry-standard packaging tools for deployment via SCCM.

- Conduct thorough testing of application packages to ensure compatibility, functionality, and security.

- Troubleshoot and resolve application deployment issues, providing timely support to end-users.

- Maintain a comprehensive library of application packages, ensuring accurate documentation and version control.

- Collaborate with application owners and IT teams to gather requirements and develop packaging strategies.

- Automate application packaging processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices throughout the packaging lifecycle.

- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new application packaging tools and technologies.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in application packaging and deployment using SCCM.

- Proficient in using various packaging tools such as AdminStudio, InstallShield, or equivalent.

- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, registry, and file system.

- Ability to troubleshoot complex application deployment issues and provide effective solutions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Proven ability to adapt to changing technologies and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience : 6 - 12 years
