We are seeking a talented API Engineer to design, build, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and performant RESTful APIs.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with API development, strong knowledge of HTTP and authentication standards, and practical exposure to API management and cloud platforms - AWS experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality RESTful APIs.

- Ensure API performance, scalability, and security at all stages.

- Collaborate with frontend, backend, and product teams to integrate new and existing APIs.

- Manage API versioning, rate limiting, throttling, and error handling.

- Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, API Keys.

- Monitor API performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot effectively.

- Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger / OpenAPI.

- Contribute to defining best practices, standards, and patterns for API development.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong understanding of REST principles and API design best practices.

- AWS experience is mandatory.

- Strong working knowledge of HTTP concepts, JSON, XML, headers, and status codes.

- Hands-on experience with OAuth2, JWT, API Keys, and securing APIs end-to-end.

- Experience with API management platforms such as Kong, AWS API Gateway, or similar.

- Expertise in API lifecycle management : design, deployment, versioning, deprecation.

- Experience with rate limiting, caching, logging, and monitoring for APIs.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
