We are looking for an experienced API Backend Engineer to join our growing team. The candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services and integrations that power modern applications. The role requires strong expertise in RESTful API development, microservices architecture, and backend frameworks with a strong focus on security, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices to ensure data integrity and system reliability.

- Build and manage user management systems, including roles, permissions, and identity integrations.

- Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance in cloud-native environments.

- Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to design schemas, write efficient queries, and manage data pipelines.

- Collaborate with frontend engineers, DevOps, and QA to ensure seamless API integrations.

- Debug and resolve complex backend issues related to performance, concurrency, and data consistency.

- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and best practice enforcement across the backend team.

- Ensure all services are properly tested, documented, and monitored using modern observability tools.

- Support CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and contribute to improving development workflows.

Key Skills & Requirements :

- Strong expertise in RESTful API design and Microservices architecture

- Hands-on experience with Node.js and/or Python for backend development

- Proficiency in Authentication & Authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, SSO, etc.)

- Experience in User Management systems & role-based access control

- Familiarity with SQL & NoSQL databases and data modeling best practices

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Understanding of API versioning, rate limiting, caching, and error handling

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in high-performance distributed systems

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaboration with cross-functional teams

Good to Have (Plus Points) :

- Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)

- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability tools (ELK, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.)

- Experience in DevOps practices and cloud-native microservices deployment

- Exposure to event-driven systems and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
