About the Role :

Wits Innovation Lab is looking for an experienced Android Developer with strong hands-on experience in developing, enhancing, and maintaining scalable mobile applications. The candidate should have a good understanding of modern Android development practices and mobile application architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications.

- Develop user-friendly and responsive mobile applications using Kotlin and Java.

- Integrate REST APIs and work with backend services.

- Implement and maintain applications using MVVM architecture.

- Troubleshoot bugs and optimize application performance.

- Collaborate with developers, QA, UI/UX teams, and other stakeholders.

- Participate in code reviews and follow clean coding practices.

- Use Git for source code management and team collaboration.

Required Skills :

- 4+ years of experience in Android Application Development.

- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Java.

- Good knowledge of Android SDK.

- Experience with REST API integration.

- Strong understanding of MVVM architecture.

- Good experience with Git/version control.

- Understanding of the complete mobile application development lifecycle.

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience with modern Android development practices.

- Knowledge of mobile application performance optimization.

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
