We are looking for a Head of Analytics who will defi ne and drive the credit risk, fraud, and scoring models that underpin our products. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of data science, statistics, and BFSI domain expertise.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience from the BFSI domain, understands how credit/fraud models are evaluated by banks, and can design models that are statistically sound, regulatorily compliant, and commercially viable.
Key Responsibilities :
- Model Development : Build and refi ne analytical models for :
1. Credit scoring (retail & MSME)
2. Fraud detection (transaction & onboarding)
- Methodology : Use practical and explainable techniques (e.g., logistic regression, scorecards, statistical segmentation) suited for BFSI risk use-cases.
- Defi ne Success Criteria : Establish KPIs and validation metrics for each model (e.g., KS, Gini, ROC, lift charts, stability, reject inference).
- Regulatory Alignment : Ensure models meet audit, explainability, and compliance requirements (RBI, Basel, local regulators).
- Collaboration : Work with product and engineering teams to embed models into live systems at scale.
- Client Engagement : Partner with banks to present, defend, and customize models as per their portfolio and regulatory needs.
- Leadership : Build and mentor a small but high-impact analytics team; establish best practices in data handling, model governance, and validation.
What We're Looking For :
- 10+ years of experience in analytics/credit risk/fraud modeling within BFSI (bank, NBFC, fi ntech, or credit bureau).
- Deep expertise in statistical modeling, scorecards, and logistic regression; exposure to ML is welcome but not mandatory.
- Strong command of model validation techniques (back-testing, stress testing, stability analysis).
- Practical experience with tools like SAS, R, Python, SQL, Excel.
- Strong BFSI domain knowledge-understanding of credit cycles, fraud typologies, collections strategies, and regulatory expectations.
- Ability to communicate technical insights to CXOs, risk heads, and regulators.
- Proven ability to lead a small team and deliver impact in a fast-paced environment.
