Role Overview :
We are looking for a motivated Entry Level Technical Support Engineer to join our support team. The role involves providing first-line technical assistance, troubleshooting software/hardware issues, and working closely with engineering teams to resolve customer problems effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide Level-1 / Level-2 technical support for software and system-related issues
- Analyze customer-reported issues, logs, and error reports
- Reproduce issues in the lab environment and identify root causes
- Work closely with Engineering, QA, and Validation teams for issue resolution
- Support installation, configuration, and basic usage queries
- Track issues using internal tools and ensure proper documentation
- Prepare clear problem descriptions, status updates, and closure reports
- Assist customers via email, calls, remote sessions and on site in a professional manner
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Knowledge of Operating Systems (Linux / Windows / RTOS )
- Fundamentals of C / C++ / Embedded concepts (reading code & logs)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, ping, iperf, etc.)
- Ability to read and analyse system logs and console outputs
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn new products, platforms, and tools
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills :
- Exposure to Embedded Systems / BSP / RTOS (VxWorks, Linux)
- Familiarity with hardware platforms, boards, or peripherals
- Experience with debugging tools, serial consoles, or JTAG (basic exposure)
- Internship or academic projects related to systems or embedded software
- Experience using bug/issue tracking tools
