AEM Backend Developer - Java

Description :

We're looking for a highly skilled AEM Backend Developer with strong Java expertise to join our team for a key Apple project. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with AEM's backend stack, workflows, Sling models, and performance optimisation.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain AEM components, templates, workflows, and servlets.

- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.

- Manage AEM configurations, including OSGi, Sling, and JCR.

- Implement AEM's security best practices, including ACLs and SSO.

- Work closely with QA, UX, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality releases.

- Optimise performance and ensure seamless deployments via Jenkins/Maven CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements :

- Core AEM (6.4 or above) - extensive hands-on experience with Sling models, workflows, JSON, and Lucene indexing.

- Strong Java foundation - OOPs, collections, exception handling, multithreading, design patterns.

- Experience with Coral/Granite UI, Touch UI, Sightly/HTL.

- Expertise in AEM infrastructure setup - Dispatcher, Apache, TarMK/MongoMK/S3

- Good understanding of DXP, security layers, and AEM upgrades.

- Exposure to CI/CD tools - Jenkins, Maven, Selenium.

- Excellent documentation and collaboration skills.

- Prior Apple project experience.

- Familiarity with Headless CMS or Non-CMS migration use cases.
