About the Role :

We are looking for a strong Mid-Level Backend Engineer who can design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems. This role requires someone who can think beyond basic CRUD APIs and take ownership of production-grade services in a distributed architecture environment.

Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable backend services.

- Own features end-to-end (design - implementation - deployment - monitoring).

- Build robust RESTful APIs.

- Model and optimize relational and graph-based data systems.

- Write clean, maintainable, production-ready code.

- Optimize database queries and improve performance.

- Implement caching strategies for high-read systems.

- Contribute to architectural decisions.

- Improve system reliability, monitoring, and fault tolerance.

Tech Stack (Expected Experience) :

- Java / Spring Boot (or strong backend framework experience).

- MySQL / PostgreSQL (strong data modeling skills required).

- Redis (caching layer).

- MongoDB or similar NoSQL database.

- Elasticsearch (search systems).

- Kafka or similar event-streaming systems.

- AWS or similar cloud infrastructure.

- Graph Database experience (Neo4j / Amazon Neptune or similar).

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong data structures & algorithms fundamentals.

- Solid understanding of system design.

- Experience designing REST APIs at scale.

- Strong relational database modeling & query optimization.

- Understanding of indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.

- Experience working with caching systems (Redis or equivalent).

- Working knowledge of Graph databases and relationship modeling.

- Ability to design efficient multi-hop queries in graph systems.

- Strong ownership mindset and problem-solving ability.

Good to Have :

- Experience with distributed systems.

- Experience with event-driven architecture.

- Exposure to recommendation systems or analytics systems.

- Experience handling high concurrency systems.

- Understanding of cloud-native deployments.
