Key Responsibilities : - Execute QA efforts across Access Points, Controllers, Cloud, On-Prem, and IoT projects, from feature inception to production release, ensuring end-to-end quality coverage. - Optimize regression test plans for solution-centric execution to maximize efficiency, reduce redundancy, and ensure comprehensive coverage of integrated system use cases. - Embrace AI-driven testing approaches to modernize QA processes, improve product quality, and enhance efficiency across automation, analytics, and defect prediction. - Review Feature Requests (FR/PRED), Functional Specs (FS), and High-Level Designs (HLD) for testability and completeness. - Prepare, review, and own comprehensive test plans, ensuring adequate coverage for functional, scale, regression, and solution testing. - Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks (preferably in Python) to ensure continuous quality. - Perform in-depth debugging and root cause analysis for defects across multiple system layers (UI, backend, network protocols). - Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality gates are met in CI/CD pipelines. - Participate in performance and scalability testing to validate system behavior under stress. - Drive test data preparation, environment setup, and tool creation for effective test execution. - Mentor junior QA engineers and review their work to ensure quality and consistency. Required Qualifications : - Education : BE/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, or Networking. - Experience : 3+ years in software quality assurance with hands-on Access Point (AP) device testing and integration in a controller-based environment, including functional, scale, and interoperability validation. Technical Skills : - Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data validation. - Solid understanding of networking concepts, Wi-Fi protocols, TCP/IP stack, and authentication systems (e., RADIUS, AAA). - Hands-on experience with QA tools like packet analyzers (e., Wireshark), Selenium, PyTest, JMeter, Postman, or equivalent. - Practical usage of Jira for defect tracking and TestLink (or similar) for test management. - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, and API testing. - Proficiency in debugging logs, packet captures, and system traces. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in IoT device testing and integration. - Exposure to AI/ML-driven QA approaches. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). - Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. About the Job : We are seeking a talented and experienced software professional to join our Wi-Fi engineering group in India as a Wi-Fi Architect / Distinguished Software Engineer. In this role, you will be a key driver in the architecture, design, and development of our next-generation carrier-grade wireless access points. These cutting-edge products will enable our carrier and enterprise customers to meet the ever-increasing demand for high-bandwidth applications and services. Responsibilities : - Drive the architecture, design, and development of advanced Wi-Fi features for carrier-grade wireless access points. - Lead the development of next-generation Wi-Fi solutions, with a focus on Wi-Fi 6/6E/WiFi 7 standards. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, create high-level and detailed designs, and oversee implementation. - Evaluate and select appropriate chip vendor firmware/target SDKs, and define the high-level architecture. - Architect and develop software modules within an embedded RTOS and/or Linux kernel environment. - Optimize system performance, ensuring high throughput, low latency, and robust stability. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Wi-Fi functionality and performance. - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Wi-Fi technologies and standards. - Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the team. - Collaborate with product management, hardware engineering, and QA teams throughout the product lifecycle. - Contribute to the innovation roadmap, pushing the boundaries of technology to achieve best-in-class solutions. Responsibilities : - Design and implementation of network features for the ICX Product family in the areas of Layer 2 and Multicast. - Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software using the latest technologies and innovations in a timely manner. - Handle key customer issues on a need basis and front-end with the TAC team. - Technical documentation for key project deliverables, like the Functional Spec, Unit test cases. Requirements : - At least 2+ years of work experience on embedded platforms with real-time requirements. - Bachelor's degree or above in computer science and related majors. - Expertise in C for embedded systems with a strong understanding of best practices in C coding. - Work experience and knowledge in the Layer 2 plane in any one of these : like Private VLAN, MRP, VSRP, xSTP, protected link group, and Link aggregation.
