Zinnia - System Administrator - Peoplesoft

WHO YOU ARE :

Own the reliability, scalability, and security of our PeopleSoft environments.

Youll lead install/upgrade/patch cycles (PeopleTools & apps), automation with DPK/ACM, PUM/Change Assistant, search (OpenSearch), integrations, and performance while designing robust AWS infrastructure and CI/CD for repeatable environments.

Familiarity with Oracles Cloud Manager (OCI) is a plus.

WHAT YOULL DO :

- Plan and execute PeopleTools/application upgrades, patching, and maintenance using PUM and Change Assistant; manage images, change packages, and retrofits.

- Provision and configure environments via DPK (Puppet/Hiera) and standardize settings with Automated Configuration Manager (ACM) (IB, Process Scheduler, Search, certificates, etc.

- Administer WebLogic, Tuxedo, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker, and App/Web domains; tune cache, queues, and PSAPPSRV/PSQCKSRV parameters.

- Manage PeopleSoft Search Framework with OpenSearch and OpenSearch Dashboards (PeopleTools 8.60.07+ / 8.61), including indexing, relevance, and Insights dashboards.

- Implement SSO/SAML/OAuth, certificates/keystores, and role-based security; enforce segregation of duties and audit trails.

- Own performance engineering and capacity planning; trace SQL, optimize app server pools, and tune search, IB, and batch jobs.

- Establish HA/DR runbooks (clustering, backups, PITR, recovery drills) and lead incident response/on-call for priority issues.

- WS engineering : Design/operate PeopleSoft on AWS (e.g Implement observability with CloudWatch logs/metrics/alarms, X-Ray (where relevant), synthetic canaries, and dashboards; integrate with SIEM.

- Harden with IAM (least privilege), KMS (encryption), SSM (patching/parameter store), Backup, and VPC design (subnets, SGs, NACLs).

- Automate environment builds via Terraform/CloudFormation and configuration management (e., Ansible); integrate with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab).

- Optimize cost (rightsizing, GP3/GP4 volumes, scheduling), and document patterns for repeatable environment spin-ups.

- Lifecycle & collaboration Partner with Dev/Functional teams to define cutover plans, test strategies, and rollback paths; drive RCA and preventive actions.

- Maintain runbooks, diagrams, and SOPs; mentor junior admins and establish standards.

WHAT YOULL NEED :

- Strong PeopleSoft admin across Tools 8.5x8.61 (install, patch, upgrade, cloning, refreshes).

- Oracle BlogsHands-on with PUM/Change Assistant and DPK/ACM.

- Search Framework (OpenSearch) administration and troubleshooting (indexes, schedulers, Dashboards/Insights).

- Deep experience with WebLogic/Tuxedo, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker, SSL/TLS/keystores.

- Solid AWS operations for enterprise apps: networking, security, monitoring, automation, and HA/DR patterns.

- Oracle DB basics (AWR/ASH reading, stats, connection pools) and SQL proficiency for triage.

Nice to have :

- PeopleSoft Cloud Manager (OCI) familiarity for image management and environment orchestration (helpful even if production runs on AWS).

- Modern secrets management (e., AWS Secrets Manager/HashiCorp Vault), performance tooling, and SRE practices (SLOs, error budgets).

- Experience with compliance frameworks (SOX/ISO27001) and change management (ITIL).
