About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled and self-driven Automation QA Engineer with over 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation frameworks, primarily using Selenium and TestNG.

The ideal candidate should be an individual contributor with deep technical expertise, strong ownership of deliverables, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build, optimize, and scale automated test scripts for regression, functional, integration, and system testing.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to define test automation strategies.

- Perform code reviews for test automation scripts and ensure adherence to best practices.

- Continuously improve test coverage, reliability, and execution speed.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality in every release.

- Investigate and debug test failures, analyze root causes, and provide timely resolutions.

- Mentor junior QA team members when needed, while functioning as an individual contributor.

- Support occasional weekend (Saturday) work for critical releases or deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and test automation best practices.

- Solid experience in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent) for developing automation scripts.

- Hands-on experience with API automation using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, or similar) and version control systems (Git).

- Good knowledge of frameworks for test automation build management.

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Exposure to performance and security testing tools is a plus.
