Position : Windows Engineer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a proactive Windows Engineer with 3 to 6 years of professional experience in the administration, configuration, and support of Windows Server platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, and a strong background in L2 or L3 server support.

This role requires proficiency in automation scripting and a solid understanding of IT infrastructure management across diverse geographies. The candidate must be comfortable working in an Agile environment governed by the ITIL framework, handling a wide range of responsibilities from patching and upgrades to incident management.

Key Responsibilities :

Server Administration & Support :

- Administer, configure, and provide L2 or L3 support for Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments.

- Perform critical activities such as patching, upgrades, migration, and server refresh to maintain infrastructure health.

- Manage infrastructure hosted across diverse geographies and handle production support activities.

Automation & Infrastructure Management :

- Develop and implement automation scripts using Ansible, PowerCLI, or PowerShell to streamline administrative tasks.

- Work with hardware and software from vendors such as VMware, Cisco, Dell, and HP.

- Manage and maintain VMware vSphere 7.x environments, including clusters and farms.

Process & Project Management :

- Work within an Agile environment, participating in Scrum, sprints, and related ceremonies.

- Adhere to the ITIL framework, with responsibilities including Change, Incident, and Problem Management (RCA).

- Take on team and project management responsibilities as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Core Experience :

- 3 to 6 years of professional experience in IT administration and support.

- At least 4 years of experience in an L2 or L3 Server Support Team.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.

- Proficiency in automation scripting using Ansible, PowerCLI, or PowerShell.

- Strong exposure to and proficiency in managing VMware vSphere 7.x environments.

Professional Attributes :

- Experience working with vendors like VMware, Cisco, Dell, and HP.

- A background in production support is highly preferred.

- Familiarity with the ITIL framework and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience and skill in managing AWS Cloud Environments and Hybrid Environments.

- Training on the AWS SysOps Track is an advantage.

- A strong foundation in team and project management.
