We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Functional Lead to spearhead our Master Data Governance initiatives. You'll be responsible for the functional design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MDG solutions across various master data objects. Key Responsibilities :

Functional Leadership & Strategy :

- Provide functional leadership for SAP MDG implementations, ensuring alignment with business requirements and data governance strategies.

- Lead the design and architecture of master data models, processes, and rules within SAP MDG.

MDG Configuration & Implementation :

- Perform hands-on functional configuration of SAP MDG for various master data objects (e.g., Material, Customer, Vendor, Finance).

- Design and configure MDG workflows, business rules, data quality validation, and derivations.

- Oversee the integration of SAP MDG with other SAP and non-SAP systems.

Requirements & Solution Design :

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze complex master data requirements.

- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and solution designs for MDG.

Data Governance & Quality :

- Drive the establishment and enforcement of data governance policies and standards within the MDG framework.

- Implement data quality rules and monitoring mechanisms to ensure high data integrity.

Testing & Support :

- Develop and execute functional test cases, supporting system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Provide expert-level functional support and troubleshooting for SAP MDG solutions.

Team & Stakeholder Management :

- Guide and mentor junior functional consultants on MDG best practices.

- Communicate effectively with technical teams, business users, and project management, acting as a bridge between functional and technical aspects.

Requirements

- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP MDG Functional Lead or Senior Functional Consultant.

- Deep expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), including functional configuration and implementation across multiple master data domains (e.g., MDG-M, MDG-C, MDG-S, MDG-F).

- Strong understanding of SAP standard data models and data governance principles.

- Proven experience in designing and configuring MDG workflows, BRF+ rules, data quality validations, and derivations.

- Experience with MDG upgrades, migrations, and data synchronization processes.

- Knowledge of integrating MDG with other SAP modules (e.g., ECC/S/4HANA, BW) and external systems.

- Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) in an SAP environment.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to lead functional discussions and workshops independently.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP MDG certification.

- Experience with S/4HANA implementations.

- Knowledge of related technologies like SAP Data Services (BODS) or SAP Information Steward.

- Exposure to MDG on Cloud.
