Key Responsibilities

Technical Solutioning & Configuration :

- Lead and perform hands-on functional and technical configuration of Oracle Cloud Payroll, meticulously aligning system setups with complex business requirements for India and US payroll legislation.

- Drive technical design workshops to analyze existing payroll processes, identify gaps, and propose robust, scalable solutions leveraging Oracle Fusion Cloud's enhanced functionalities.

- Configure intricate payroll elements, fast formulas, rules, balances, and processing flows within the Oracle Cloud Payroll module.

End-to-End Project Lifecycle Management :

Oversee and actively participate in all technical phases of Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations, including :

- Requirement Gathering : Translate detailed business needs into precise functional and technical specifications.

- CRP (Conference Room Pilots) : Lead technical walkthroughs and demonstrate configured solutions.

- SIT (System Integration Testing) : Design and execute integration test cases, troubleshooting data flow and system interface issues between modules.

- UAT (User Acceptance Testing) : Support client testing, capture defects, and ensure technical resolution.

- Train-the-Trainer Sessions : Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to client super-users.

- Cutover : Manage technical cutover activities, including data validation and post-go-live checks.

- Production Support : Provide expert L2/L3 functional and technical support, troubleshooting complex payroll processing issues and data discrepancies.

Inter-Module Integration & Data Flow :

- Configure and validate critical integrations between Oracle Cloud Payroll and Absence Management, ensuring accurate data flow for time-off accruals and deductions.

- Establish and optimize integration points for payroll costing to General Ledger (GL), ensuring correct account derivations and financial postings.

- Integrate payroll data with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) modules for accurate project cost allocation and reporting.

Technical Documentation & Quality Assurance :

- Develop comprehensive detailed functional specification documents (FSDs) that clearly outline technical configurations, integration points, and custom solutions.

- Prepare robust test cases that cover various payroll scenarios, including positive, negative, and edge cases.

- Conduct thorough functional and integration testing, documenting results, identifying defects, and working closely with technical teams for resolution.

Requirements :

- 4+ years of hands-on technical experience as an Oracle Cloud Payroll Functional Consultant.

- Deep functional and technical expertise in Oracle Cloud Payroll configuration, with a proven track record for both India and US payroll legislation.

- Mandatory experience across all phases of the project lifecycle : Requirement Gathering, CRP, SIT, UAT, Train-the-Trainer, Cutover, and Production Support, specifically in a hands-on technical capacity.

- Strong technical acumen in business process analysis, requirement definition, and solution design for Oracle HCM Cloud.

- Demonstrated experience in configuring and troubleshooting complex payroll elements, fast formulas, balance definitions, and payroll processing flows.

- Proven ability to configure and validate payroll integrations with Absences, General Ledger (GL) for costing, and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) modules.

- Experience in building detailed functional specification documents that capture technical configuration and integration details.

- Proficiency in preparing comprehensive test cases and conducting thorough functional and integration testing.

- Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud data models relevant to HCM and Payroll.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills for complex system configurations.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical solutions and issues effectively.
