Zensar Technologies - L3 Senior Network Engineer - Palo Alto Firewall

Job Overview :

Key Responsibilities :

- Advanced Troubleshooting: Provide L3 support for critical network incidents, performing in-depth analysis, root cause identification, and rapid resolution of complex network issues.

- Routing & Switching: Expertly configure and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, EtherChannel).

- Firewall & Security Management: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewall policies, VPNs, and other network security devices.

- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to enhance network efficiency and reliability.

- Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure adherence to

industry best practices and security standards.

- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, application teams, and security teams, to support business initiatives and resolve inter-dependent issues.

- Mentorship: Potentially mentor junior network engineers and contribute to their skill development.

Requirements

- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching platforms (Cisco, Juniper, HP, Arista).

- Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VPN (IPSec, SSL VPN).

- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, data center networking, and cloud networking concepts.

- Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet).

- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible).

- Familiarity with SDN/SD-WAN technologies.

- Knowledge of wireless networking concepts and technologies.
