We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Digital Portal Developer with 5 - 10 years of experience in Guidewire application development, with strong expertise in Guidewire Digital Portals, Digital Experience, Gosu, Java, REST APIs, and Guidewire integrations.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, integrating, and maintaining customer-facing digital portal applications built on the Guidewire platform.

The role requires close collaboration with business analysts, architects, integration teams, QA, and other Guidewire developers to deliver scalable and high-quality insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, customize, and maintain Guidewire Digital Portal applications.

- Develop responsive and user-friendly digital experiences for policyholders, agents, and other insurance users.

- Work extensively with Guidewire Digital Experience / Digital Portals and integrate them with Guidewire core applications.

- Develop and customize portal components based on functional and technical requirements.

- Develop business logic using Gosu and integrate portal applications with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.

- Build and consume REST/SOAP APIs for communication between digital portals and backend systems.

- Implement integrations with Guidewire and external applications using appropriate integration patterns.

- Develop reusable components and follow established application architecture and coding standards.

- Configure and customize portal workflows, screens, navigation, validations, and user journeys.

- Work with authentication, authorization, user management, and role-based access mechanisms.

- Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate fixes.

- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and development best practices.

- Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT and production deployments.

- Collaborate with QA teams to resolve defects and ensure application quality.

- Analyze performance issues and optimize portal applications and API interactions.

- Support application upgrades, enhancements, and migration activities.

- Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to other team members.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- 5 - 10 years of overall software development experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire Digital Portal / Digital Experience.

- Strong knowledge of Guidewire architecture and application development.

- Hands-on experience with Gosu programming.

- Strong experience with Java/J2EE technologies.

- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and web services.

- Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web development.

- Experience with modern frontend technologies/frameworks is an advantage.

- Experience integrating Digital Portal applications with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter.

- Good understanding of Guidewire integration concepts and APIs.

- Experience working with JSON, XML, HTTP, REST/SOAP.

- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

- Experience with source control tools such as Git.

- Good understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and software development best practices.
