Position : L3 Storage Administrator

Role Overview :
As an L3 Storage Administrator, you will act as the senior technical expert for enterprise storage systems, leading complex troubleshooting, architecture decisions, and critical production escalations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide L3 support for enterprise storage environments, focusing on Dell EMC VMAX / PowerMax arrays.
- Lead high-severity incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and long-term fixes.
- Manage and optimize SDRF, Open Replicator, SRDF, TimeFinder, and replication workflows.
- Design and implement storage architecture, performance improvements, and capacity planning.
- Administer and troubleshoot SAN switches (Brocade / Cisco), including zoning, fabric design, NPIV, firmware upgrades, and failover testing.
- Oversee storage provisioning, DR configuration, migrations, and data replication for business continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Unix, VMware, Database, Network, Backup) on complex multi-layer issues.
- Lead storage automation initiatives using scripts or native tools (if applicable).
- Maintain governance, compliance, documentation, and change-management standards.
Required Technical Skills :
- Expert-level knowledge of Dell EMC VMAX / PowerMax architecture and administration.
- In-depth experience with SDRF, Open Replication, SRDF, TimeFinder, BCV clones, and snapshots.
- Strong command over SAN fabric technologies, Fibre Channel concepts, and multipathing (PowerPath, MPIO, etc.).
- Ability to perform performance analysis, bottleneck identification, and tuning.
- Skilled in migration planning, DR failover and failback, and replication design.
- Solid understanding of storage security, zoning best practices, and fabric architecture.
Soft Skills & Other Requirements :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a focus on root-cause solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to handle leadership-level interactions during Sev1/Sev2 incidents.
- Ability to work independently, lead initiatives, and mentor L1/L2 teams.
- ITIL certification preferred.
