We are hiring an experienced L2 Backup Administrator with strong expertise in Commvault backup solutions, virtualization platforms, and enterprise data protection practices. This role demands hands-on troubleshooting skills, in-depth architectural understanding, and the ability to operate independently at the L2 level.

Key Responsibilities :

- Independently manage, monitor, and troubleshoot backup jobs using Commvault.

- Configure and support Livesync, Deduplication, and Storage Policies in Commvault.

- Handle Data Aging and Pruning processes for storage optimization.

- Manage VMware backup configurations, with solid understanding of transport modes (HotAdd, SAN, NBD).

- Perform backup and recovery of Oracle and SQL databases using Commvault agents.

- Understand and implement ThreatScan and AirGap features for secure backup environments.

- Troubleshoot and resolve basic to intermediate network issues affecting backup performance.

- Document issues, resolutions, and process updates; escalate complex problems to L3.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DBAs, VMware, Storage) to ensure backup consistency.
