We are expanding our retail and eCommerce practice and seeking an experienced Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring the delivery of impactful, data-driven solutions.

Role Overview :

The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in understanding, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. This position demands hands-on experience in retail and eCommerce projects, excellent client-facing skills, and strong technical acumen, particularly with data analysis and SQL.

Key Responsibilities :

- Client Requirement Management : Act as the primary liaison with clients to elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

- Requirement Translation : Convert high-level business needs into clear, concise, and actionable functional specifications and user stories.

- Process and Data Modeling : Create detailed process flows, data flow diagrams, and entity-relationship models to illustrate system behavior and data dependencies.

- Documentation and Analysis : Develop comprehensive documentation including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications Documents (FSDs), and System Configuration Guides.

- Data Analysis and Insights : Perform exploratory data analysis using SQL to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights that support business decisions.

- Quality Assurance : Conduct functional testing and ensure that deliverables meet the documented requirements and quality standards.

- Collaboration : Work closely with product owners, developers, QA teams, and project managers to ensure timely delivery and successful implementation of solutions.

- Change Management Support : Assist in impact analysis, user training, and smooth adoption of new solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Experience : 58 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in retail or eCommerce domain.

- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (mandatory).

Technical Proficiency :

- Strong command of SQL for data querying and analysis.

- Ability to create data models, process maps, and system design documentation.

- Domain Expertise : Thorough understanding of retail and eCommerce business processes including catalog management, order management, inventory, and payment flows.

- Analytical Skills : Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills; adept at stakeholder management and client interaction.

- Tools Knowledge : Exposure to tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms is desirable.

- Delivery Mindset : Proven track record of delivering high-quality documentation and ensuring timely project execution.
