Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with 4+ years of experience in designing and building scalable fintech systems. You will work on imprest budgeting platforms, UPI payment integrations, expense management, and utility bill payment systems, owning critical services end-to-end.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop backend systems using Java 17+

- Architect and implement microservices using Spring Boot

- Design secure, scalable APIs for UPI payments, budgeting, and expense workflows

- Own end-to-end payment transaction flows, including retries, idempotency, and reconciliation

- Design data models using SQL and MongoDB for financial accuracy and auditability

- Implement event-driven systems using Kafka

- Optimize system performance using Redis caching

- Apply design patterns and clean architecture principles

- Lead system design and optimization initiatives

- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and consistency

- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers

- Collaborate with product, compliance, and DevOps teams

- Use GitHub for version control and release management

- Leverage AI tools (Copilot / Cursor) to enhance developer productivity
