Position Overview :

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic QA Head / Lead Mobile Testing (Appium Automation + Manual Testing) to lead the Quality Assurance function for our mobile applications at YesMadam. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in both mobile automation testing using Appium and manual testing across Android and iOS platforms.

This role demands a hands-on QA leader who can define testing strategies, build scalable automation frameworks, mentor QA teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality mobile applications with exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Team Management :

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers across automation and manual testing.

- Define QA goals, workflows, and resource allocation for multiple projects.

- Conduct regular code reviews, test reviews, and performance evaluations.

- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, UI/UX, and DevOps teams.

- Drive quality ownership and testing best practices across teams.

Automation Testing (Appium) :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile automation frameworks using Appium.

- Automate Android and iOS mobile application test cases.

- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

- Create reusable utilities, libraries, and automation scripts.

- Analyze automation results and improve test stability and coverage.

Work with tools/frameworks such as :

- Appium

- Selenium

- TestNG/JUnit

- Maven/Gradle

- Jenkins/GitHub Actions

- BrowserStack/LambdaTest (preferred)

Manual Testing Expertise :

- Prepare and execute detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.

- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, usability, UI/UX, and compatibility testing.

- Validate mobile app behavior across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.

- Identify requirement gaps and proactively communicate risks/issues.

- Ensure accurate defect tracking, reporting, and documentation.

Quality Strategy & Process Improvement :

- Define and implement QA standards, automation strategy, and testing best practices.

- Establish quality metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.

- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive/corrective actions.

- Improve test efficiency, release quality, and automation coverage.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA lifecycle.

Collaboration & Agile Practices :

- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and release discussions.

- Work closely with stakeholders to understand product requirements and business goals.

- Communicate testing progress, risks, blockers, and release readiness.

- Ensure timely defect resolution and production quality assurance.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 11+ years of experience in QA with strong exposure to both Manual Testing and Mobile Automation Testing.

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA leadership or team management roles.

- Hands-on expertise in Appium Automation Framework Development.

- Strong experience testing Android and iOS mobile applications.

- Good understanding of mobile app architecture, APIs, UI/UX principles, and design patterns.

Experience with tools such as :

- JIRA

- TestRail

- Confluence

- Git

- Jenkins

- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
