Engineering Manager / Development Lead

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage cross-functional development teams working on mobile, web, and backend services.

- Act as the primary technical point of contact across scrum teams; ensure alignment with product and business objectives.

- Participate in daily scrum meetings and sprint planning activities.

- Conduct in-depth code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and ensure code quality.

- Drive technical discussions and propose system architecture improvements and refactoring where needed.

- Collaborate weekly with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to define sprint priorities and delivery goals.

- Conduct weekly 1 : 1s with developers to understand progress, challenges, and provide mentoring.

- Maintain daily alignment with leadership and provide updates on project status and risks.

- Run and test applications locally to verify developer contributions.

- Champion the adoption of secure coding practices and adherence to coding standards.

- Own the delivery pipeline and ensure DevOps and CI/CD best practices are followed.

Qualifications and Skillset :

- 12-14 years of professional software development experience, with 35 years in engineering management or

technical leadership roles.

- Strong background in Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including App Services, Functions, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.

- Expertise in full-stack development (mobile, web frontend, and backend APIs/services).

- Proven experience working in startup or high-growth agile environments.

- Hands-on with Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and sprint-based delivery models.

- Strong problem-solving and system design capabilities.

- Experience with containerization, microservices, and modern deployment practices is a plus.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Cloud Platform : Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, etc.)

DevOps Tools : Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, Kubernetes (optional)

Project Tools : JIRA, Confluence, Slack/MS Teams
