The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of complex software applications.
This role demands strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to leverage modern automation frameworks, AI-powered testing tools, and performance testing concepts to enhance overall test effectiveness and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Perform manual testing for functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using modern automation tools such as Playwright (preferred), Selenium, or equivalent frameworks.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Leverage AI-powered testing tools and intelligent test automation solutions to improve test coverage, defect detection, and execution efficiency.
- Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to evaluate application scalability and stability, and analyze results to identify bottlenecks.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Log, track, and manage defects using defect tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Mentor junior testers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Hands-on experience in Manual and Automation Testing for web-based and/or API-driven applications.
- Practical exposure to Playwright or similar automation tools and frameworks.
- Working knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.
- Understanding of performance testing concepts and tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST-assured.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Exposure to cloud-based environments and containerized applications.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
