Yamaha Motor - SAP MM Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Consultant who will play a key role in delivering innovative and efficient SAP solutions across our business operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong functional background in SAP Materials Management (MM) with hands-on experience in SAP PP (Production Planning), SAP APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization), and SAP PPEWM (Extended Warehouse Management) integration.

This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, design optimized SAP solutions, manage system configurations, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- SAP MM Functional Expertise Lead the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of SAP MM modules (Procurement, Inventory Management, Material Master, Valuation, and Invoice Verification).

- Configure and support MM submodules such as Purchasing, Inventory Management, Vendor Evaluation, and Logistics Invoice Verification.

- Ensure accurate and consistent master data management across MM and related modules.

- Integration & Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with SAP PP, APO, EWM, and FI/CO teams to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end process alignment.

- Support integration between MM and PP for production order management, materials availability, and BOM management.

- Work with APO teams to align material planning and replenishment processes.

- Collaborate on EWM integration for inbound, outbound, and warehouse management processes.

- Project Implementation & Support Participate in end-to-end SAP implementation projects from requirement gathering, blueprinting, and configuration to go-live and post-implementation support.

- Handle change requests, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution of functional and integration problems.

- Conduct user training and create detailed functional documentation (FS, configuration guides, test scripts).

- Continuous Improvement Identify and recommend system enhancements, automation opportunities, and process optimizations within SAP MM and related areas.

- Support upgrades, migration projects (e.g., ECC to S/4HANA), and new functionality rollouts.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field. 46 years of hands-on experience as an SAP MM Functional Consultant.

- Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Inventory Management, Stock Transfers, Subcontracting, Consignment, and Third-Party Procurement processes.

- Intermediate-level exposure to : SAP PP (Production Planning) SAP APO (Supply Network Planning, Demand Planning, PP/DS) SAP PPEWM Integration

- Experience in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation and multiple support/enhancement projects.

- Proficiency in preparing functional specifications and working with ABAP developers for custom enhancements.

- Knowledge of S/4HANA MM concepts (Fiori apps, Business Partner, MRP Live, etc.) is a strong advantage.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Nice to Have :

- SAP MM or S/4HANA certification.

- Basic understanding of WM (Warehouse Management) or QM (Quality Management) modules.

- Experience with Service Procurement and Indirect Procurement processes.

- Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 or SAP Analytics Cloud for reporting and dashboards.
