Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer / QA Lead

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance professional to join our team, with a strong focus on both automation and manual testing, as well as process management and team leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical skill set in test automation tools, test framework knowledge, and CI/CD integration, alongside solid expertise in manual testing practices and quality process management. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual capable of driving quality initiatives and mentoring junior team members.

Automation Skills :

- Proven experience with popular test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, or equivalent.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language for test framework developmentJava, Python, or JavaScript preferred.

- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI to automate and integrate test execution.

- Strong understanding of test architecture including API testing, UI testing, and load/performance testing strategies.

- Ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites to improve test coverage and reduce manual effort.

Manual Testing Expertise :

- Solid experience in manual testing methodologies with a strong grasp of test case design techniques, exploratory testing, and defect lifecycle management.

- Skilled in tracking and managing defects using test management tools such as Zephyr, Xray, or similar platforms.

- Ability to perform comprehensive test planning, test execution, and reporting to ensure high-quality releases.

- Comfortable conducting risk-based testing and prioritizing test efforts according to business and technical impact.

Process & Management :

- Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks, participating actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.

- Proven capability to define meaningful QA Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implement metric-driven reporting to measure testing effectiveness and product quality.

- Expertise in release planning, coordinating test activities with development and operations teams to meet delivery timelines while ensuring quality standards.

- Skilled in allocating testing resources effectively, balancing automation and manual efforts, and adapting plans according to project priorities.

Soft Skills & Leadership :

- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to build, motivate, and mentor QA teams, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.

- Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and manage expectations.

- Effective conflict resolution and stakeholder management to navigate challenges and ensure alignment on quality goals.

- Passionate about upskilling junior QA engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to develop their technical and professional capabilities.

Optional Qualifications :

- Certifications such as ISTQB or Test Architect are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to quality assurance best practices and professional growth.
