Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced Workday Integration Consultant to design, develop, and manage complex Workday integrations across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Workday integration toolset, strong exposure to Payroll and Benefits vendor integrations, and the ability to lead integration initiatives while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end Workday integrations using PECI, PiCOF, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Web Services.
- Act as an Integrations Lead, owning integration architecture, design decisions, and delivery.
- Develop and support integrations involving Payroll and Benefits Management vendors such as SDWorx and ADP.
- Implement and manage integration security protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenPGP, and x509 certificates.
- Develop and transform data using XSLT, XML, JSON, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and external vendors to gather requirements and deliver scalable integration solutions.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing integrations to ensure performance, reliability, and data accuracy.
- Participate in release management, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Document integration designs, data mappings, and technical specifications.
- Use product and project management tools such as Jira and A-ha for tracking and delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 5 to 15 years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in Workday Integrations.
- Strong expertise in the Workday Integration toolset, including :
i. PECI / PiCOF
ii. Workday Studio
iii. Web Services
iv. Core and Third-Party Connectors
- Proven experience in Payroll and Benefits integrations, particularly with vendors such as SDWorx and ADP.
- Hands-on experience with XSLT, XML, JSON, and web service technologies (REST/SOAP).
- Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of integration security standards including OAuth 2.0, OpenPGP, and x509.
- Experience with testing and debugging tools such as Oxygen XML Editor, Postman, SOAP UI, or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills :
- Experience with Workday Extend and custom application development.
- Exposure to Workday Reporting / BIRT.
- Experience with Workday US, UK, or Canada Payroll.
- Knowledge of other payroll technologies such as GPCP.
- Prior experience in product or software development environments.
- Salesforce or HRIS integration experience is a plus.
