Job Purpose :
In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of Workday integrations, from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
You will serve as a key technical expert, building complex data integrations between Workday and various third-party systems, ensuring seamless and accurate data flow for critical HR and financial processes.
Key Responsibilities :
Full Lifecycle Integration Development :
- Expertly utilize Workday's integration toolset, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Cloud Connectors (CC), and Workday Studio.
- Leverage Workday Web Services (APIs) to interact with Workday and external systems.
Advanced Data Transformation :
- Perform intricate data mapping and complex data transformations using XSLT for various data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Develop and optimize custom transformations within Workday Studio.
Troubleshooting & Optimization :
- Monitor integration performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for efficiency and scalability.
Testing & Quality Assurance :
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage defect resolution related to integrations.
Technical Documentation & Mentorship :
specifications, design documents, data flow diagrams, and run books.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, sharing best practices and fostering skill development.
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Collaborate effectively with Workday functional consultants, project managers, and client IT teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Experience : 5 - 6 years of experience in IT, with at least 3+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in Workday Integrations.
- Workday Integration Expertise : Proven expertise in designing, developing, and deploying integrations using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Cloud Connectors (CC).
- Web Services & APIs : Strong understanding and practical experience with Workday Web Services (APIs), SOAP, REST, and security protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0, SAML).
- Data Transformation : Expert-level proficiency in XSLT for complex data transformations, along with strong command of XML, JSON, and XPATH.
- Functional Knowledge : Good understanding of at least two Workday functional areas (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Financials, Recruiting, Absence).
- Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and advanced problem-solving skills, capable of independently resolving complex technical issues.
- Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Certifications : Active Workday Integrations certification is highly preferred.
Additional Workday functional certifications are a plus.
Nice to Have :
- Familiarity with Workday Reporting and calculated fields.
- Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java) if applicable to integration development.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies.
