Wolters Kluwer - Senior Software Test Automation Engineer

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Work with fellow test engineers, software engineers, Product Owners, and other team members to gain a comprehensive understanding of existing products and features.

- Be conversant with roadmap plans for new functionality to help guide decisions, consistency, and opportunities for re-use.

- Ensure that our web applications undergo comprehensive testing, utilizing both manual and automated methods as appropriate.

- Systematically develop a set of automated tests based on the extensive backlog of test automation user stories.

- Work with subject matter experts to clarify business rules, refine acceptance criteria, and ensure the overall quality of coverage for the automated test solution.

- Design, develop and maintain automated tests within the automated test framework being used.

- Ensure automated tests are written according to best practices such that crucial functional requirements are verified, and tests remain valid as code evolves.

- Advocate for approaches that drive quality and ensure testability.

- Plan and execute testing-related tasks within an Agile environment.

Experience :

- Minimum Experience : Minimum 5 plus years of relevant software testing work experience

- Experience with the automated test tools and technology using CodeceptJS, Protractor, or similar JavaScript testing framework.

- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in an Agile testing environment.

- Experience with manual testing and test automation for medium to large client facing web

applications.

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in reviewing product specifications and developing test cases based on those requirements.

- A minimum of 3 years of experience with JavaScript or Java, a plus.

- A minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing Relational and NoSQL Databases e. Oracle, Couchbase, MS SQL, MySQL, etc., a plus.

- Experience with software code version control systems such as Git.

- Experience writing UI and REST API automated tests.

- Experience with mobile cloud providers like Kobiton or Browser Stack a plus.

- Excellent knowledge of software development, lifecycle, testing methodologies, testing tools.

- Experience working in a global environment with an appreciation of cultural, regulatory, and

operational differences across geographies.

- The ability to balance multiple priorities, identifying and focusing on the most value-added

work and meeting expectations with high quality deliverables.

- Ability to collaborate well on a cross-functional team.
