JD : WLAN QA Automation

- Experience as a Python Developer, with expertise in test automation using Pytest/PyATS/Robot Framework.

- Strong knowledge on Flask framework and API automation.

- Knowledge in Version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Strong Experience in L2/L3 Networking / Wireless protocols

Responsibilities :

Design and Develop Automation Frameworks :

- Build and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks using Pytest, PyATS, or Robot Framework.

- Implement modular test suites to support automated WLAN feature testing.

Test Planning and Execution :

- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for wireless LAN features and networking protocols (L2/L3).

- Conduct regression, performance, and functional testing of WLAN solutions.

API & Backend Test Automation :

- Automate REST APIs using Flask and related tools to validate service-level functionality.

- Ensure robust API test coverage and CI/CD integration.

Code & Version Control :

- Manage source code using Git, ensuring code quality, version control, and collaboration with distributed teams.

Debugging and Troubleshooting :

- Analyze logs and troubleshoot issues related to WLAN, networking protocols, and automation test failures.

- Use tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, etc., to capture and analyze traffic.

Cross-functional Collaboration :

- Work closely with development teams to understand product architecture and features.

- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and daily scrums to ensure alignment on quality goals.

Documentation and Reporting :

- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test execution reports, and automation scripts.

- Provide regular status updates and raise risks proactively.

- Mentorship (for Sr. Engineer/Manager Roles)

- Mentor junior engineers in automation practices, code reviews, and WLAN protocol understanding.

- Contribute to process improvements and test strategies across QA teams.
