WLAN Developer - Linux/Device Driver

Job Title :

- Develop and enhance WLAN firmware supporting 802.11ac / 802.11n / 802.11ax / 802.11be

- Perform WLAN debugging, root cause analysis, and issue resolution at driver and firmware level

- Work on performance optimization, throughput improvement, latency reduction, and power optimization

- Integrate and customize hostapd and wpa_supplicant

- Handle cross-compilation and porting of WLAN drivers/firmware to different SoCs and platforms

- Collaborate with hardware, BSP, and system teams for bring-up and validation

- Analyze WLAN protocol behavior using logs, traces, and sniffers

- Ensure compliance with WLAN standards and interoperability requirements

- For senior roles: mentor junior engineers, provide technical leadership, and drive delivery

Mandatory Skills :

- WLAN Linux Device Driver Development

- WLAN Firmware Development

- WLAN Debugging and Issue Analysis

- Strong knowledge of IEEE 802.11ac / n / ax / be

- Networking and Wireless domain knowledge

- hostapd and wpa_supplicant

- Cross-compiling and porting experience

- Performance optimization and firmware enhancements

Good to Have :

- Experience with Wi-Fi 6 / Wi-Fi 7 features

- Knowledge of MAC/PHY layer interactions

- Experience with embedded Linux platforms

- Exposure to lab tools such as Wireshark, protocol analyzers, and WLAN sniffers

- Prior experience in product-based or semiconductor companies

Education :

- B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields
