Job Role : WLAN Developer
Experience : 2.5 to 12 years
Location : Hyderabad, Bangalore, Manesar, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Pollachi
We are looking for an experienced WLAN Developer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for WLAN device driver development, firmware programming, and debugging on Linux-based embedded systems. This role requires strong knowledge of wireless networking protocols and embedded software development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain WLAN firmware for 802.11ac, 802.11n, including feature implementation, performance optimization, and bug fixes.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Embedded C code for WLAN drivers and firmware.
- Perform advanced WLAN debugging using tools such as Wireshark, kernel logs, and custom test setups to identify and resolve software and hardware issues.
- Collaborate with hardware and system teams for device bring-up, integration testing, and validation of WLAN solutions in various embedded platforms.
- Apply knowledge of wireless protocols, TCP/IP stack, and networking concepts to optimize WLAN performance and reliability.
- Maintain proper documentation for drivers, firmware, and test cases.
- Provide regular progress updates and technical reports to project stakeholders.
- Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, interacting with cross-functional teams including QA, system architects, and product management.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Strong experience in WLAN Linux device driver development, preferably 802.11ax/802.11ac/802.11n.
- Excellent proficiency in Embedded C programming and Linux kernel internals.
- Hands-on experience in WLAN firmware development, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of networking and wireless protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and Wi-Fi
standards.
- Experience with debugging tools such as Wireshark, kernel logs, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues in embedded systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Good understanding of product development life cycle, software testing, and validation methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills :
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks for embedded Linux and WLAN testing.
- Familiarity with product integration, system bring-up, and validation processes.
