We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled WLAN QA Automation Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance with a focus on automation, particularly within Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test suites to ensure the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge WLAN products.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test frameworks and test scripts for WLAN products using Python.

- Utilize and extend existing automation frameworks such as Pytest, PyATS, or Robot Framework.

- Develop and implement API automation tests, leveraging strong knowledge of the Flask framework.

- Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test requirements, create test plans, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, identify defects, and report findings to the development team.

- Work extensively with L2/L3 networking protocols and wireless standards (e.g., 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) to design relevant test scenarios.

- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing and delivery.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the automation codebase.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in WLAN environments.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in WLAN and test automation.

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the team (for Manager SW level).

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Experience : 2.5 to 10 years of experience in QA automation, specifically within WLAN or networking domains.

- Programming Expertise : Proven experience as a Python Developer, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and best practices.

- Test Automation Frameworks : Expertise in developing test automation using one or more of the following frameworks : Pytest, PyATS, Robot Framework.

- API Automation : Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with the Flask framework for developing and automating RESTful APIs.

- Networking Protocols : Strong experience and in-depth knowledge of L2/L3 Networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, VLANs, Routing) and various Wireless protocols (e.g., 802.11 standards, WPA/WPA2/WPA3).

- Version Control : Proficient in using version control systems, especially Git, for code management and collaboration.

- Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

- Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Team Player : Ability to work independently as well as a part of a collaborative team.

Desired Skills (Plus Points) :

- Experience with network emulators or simulators.

- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark).

- Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience with performance testing and security testing for WLAN systems.
