Wipro - Senior VMware Administrator

Senior VMware Administrator with a strong background in managing and automating VMware infrastructure. 10+yearsof hands-on experience with VMware technologies including vSphere, Aria/ vRealize Automation, vROPS, NSX and vSAN, and a proven track record of implementing infrastructure automation using Python, Terraform, PowerShell, and other scripting tools.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, deploy, and manage VMware infrastructure including vSphere, NSX, and Aria Automation.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance.

- Integrate VMware solutions with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of virtual environments.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable and secure virtualization solutions.

- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning.

- Maintain documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and automation scripts.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in VMware infrastructure administration.

- Expertise in vSphere, NSX, vRealize / Aria Automation.

- Strong proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Terraform, PowerShell, and Bash.

- Working knowledge of Windows / Linux Operating Systems

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps methodologies.

- Solid understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization concepts.

- VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
