Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the technical design and architecture of software solutions, primarily using VB.NET, to meet complex business requirements.

- Translate functional specifications into detailed technical designs and implementation plans.

- Provide expert guidance on system integration, data migration, and technical architecture best practices.

- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and maintainable applications and components using VB.NET.

- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, performance, and security guidelines.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues in existing and new applications.

- Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, understanding their needs and translating them into technical solutions.

- Present technical solutions and architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Provide post-implementation support and guidance, addressing client queries and technical challenges.

- Mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and fostering their professional growth.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, coding standards, and technical documentation.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to enhance our solutions.

- Work effectively within agile or waterfall methodologies, collaborating with project managers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications :

Experience : 8-10 years of hands-on experience in software development and technical consulting.

Mandatory Skills :

VB.NET :

- Exceptional proficiency and extensive hands-on experience in VB.NET development, including desktop, web, or enterprise applications.

- Strong understanding of the .NET Framework and its associated technologies.

Database Proficiency :

- Strong experience with relational databases, particularly SQL Server, including complex query writing, stored procedures, functions, and database design.

Problem-Solving :

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Communication :

- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

Client Engagement :

- Proven ability to interact directly with clients, gather requirements, and provide technical consulting.

Software Development Lifecycle :

- Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with other programming languages or technologies (e.g., C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript frameworks).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).

- Experience with reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Crystal Reports).

- Prior experience in a consulting firm or a client-facing technical role.
