We are seeking an experienced Wintel / AD / Hyper-V Administrator to manage and support Windows-based server environments, Active Directory services, and Hyper-V infrastructure.

The role involves server monitoring, administration, patching, virtualization management, and ensuring system security and performance as per organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Monitoring :

- Perform 24x7 monitoring of all servers (on-premises and hosted environments such as Microsoft O365) as per defined service baselines.

Monitor critical parameters including :

- Server availability.

- File system/partition utilization.

- Memory and processor utilization.

- Event and service logs.

- Log valid alerts and incidents in the helpdesk system for resolution.

Server Administration :

- Install and configure operating systems on new servers.

- Create and manage login scripts, network shares, and user access rights as per policies.

- Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, NFS, NIS, DFS roots, SFTP, and Group Policies.

- Perform system restoration, hardware troubleshooting, and resolve issues with OEM support.

- Manage file systems, space utilization, and system performance tuning.

- Automate recurring server tasks and perform scheduled maintenance.

- Analyze event logs for potential security incidents.

- Decommission servers following the defined process.

Active Directory Management- :

- Manage domain controllers, AD structures, and replication health.

- Perform AD housekeeping, backup, and recovery of AD servers and objects.

- Manage Enterprise Group Policies, domains, and domain objects.

- Collaborate with internal/external teams on SSO and ADFS configuration and maintenance.

- Virtual Server Infrastructure (Hyper-V).

Monitoring :

- Monitor virtualization host servers and VMs for availability and performance (CPU, memory, network).

VM Management :

- Create, modify, delete, and migrate virtual machines.

- Manage hypervisors, clusters, and resource pools.

- Perform VM performance tuning, snapshot management, and data store migrations.

- Handle P2V (Physical-to-Virtual) conversions.

- Coordinate with OEM vendors for virtualization-related support and patching.

Patch and Release Management :

- Track and manage patch and firmware versions for servers.

- Perform controlled release of security patches and firmware updates quarterly or as needed.

- Coordinate with vendors for firmware updates and maintain patch configuration records.

- Follow change management procedures for patch deployment and OS version upgrades.

- Ensure patch rollout timelines align with OEM severity and customer agreement.

Antivirus Management :

- Install, configure, and maintain antivirus software on all servers and endpoints.

- Keep antivirus and antispyware definitions updated using approved tools.

- Deploy critical patches as per OEM urgency ratings.

- Mitigate malware outbreaks and document actions taken.

- Remediate virus and worm infections proactively.

Required Skills & Competencies :

- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server Administration (2016/2019/2022).

- Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and File Systems.

- Expertise in Hyper-V virtualization management and troubleshooting.

- Familiarity with O365, Azure AD, and SCCM preferred.

- Experience in automation scripting (PowerShell).

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work in 24x7 support environments.

Education & Experience :

- 5-8 years of experience in Wintel, AD, and Virtualization administration.

- Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, Azure Administrator, or VMware/Hyper-V are desirable.
