Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Wintel Admin to join IT operations team. The ideal candidate will provide Tier 2 support for complex server issues, manage virtualization platforms, oversee patching and vulnerability cycles, and ensure business continuity through robust backup and disaster recovery practices. This role requires strong expertise in Windows Server environments, automation, and enterprise monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities :

- Incident & Problem Management : Provide Tier 2 support for complex server issues, performing deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA).

- Virtualization Management : Provision, monitor, and troubleshoot virtual machines (VMs) primarily on VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V platforms.

- Patch & Vulnerability Management : Oversee automated patching cycles using tools like WSUS or SCCM/MECM and perform OS hardening.

- Server Lifecycle Management : Execute server builds, upgrades (e.g., migrating to Windows Server 2022), and decommissioning of legacy systems.

- Backup & Disaster Recovery : Monitor backup jobs (using tools like Veeam or Commvault) and perform routine restoration tests to ensure data integrity.

Required Technical Skills :

- OS Expertise : Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.

- Automation : Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automating routine administrative tasks.

- Monitoring Tools : Experience with enterprise tools such as Site24, ITOM, SCOM, SolarWinds, or PRTG.

- ITSM : Experience of ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Manage Engine, BMC, HP Openview for managing SLAs and change requests.
