Job Title : Windows Server / Infrastructure Engineer (L3)

Location : Hyderabad, India

Employment Type : Full Time

Job Summary :

- MOURI Tech is seeking an experienced Windows Server / Infrastructure Engineer (L3) with strong hands-on experience in enterprise-level Windows server environments.

- The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Windows Server administration, virtualization (VMware), patch management, backup and recovery, and cloud (Azure).

- Relevant certifications will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and support Windows Server environments (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022), ensuring stability and performance in enterprise setups.

- Manage VMware infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter) : provisioning VMs, monitoring performance, troubleshooting, capacity planning.

- Implement and manage patch management processes using remote management tools (e.g., SCCM, WSUS, PDQ Deploy / equivalent).

- Provide support for database infrastructure monitor SQL Server services, manage backups, ensure availability, and handle basic database-level troubleshooting.

- Install, configure, and manage IIS (Internet Information Services) for hosting web applications and services.

- Configure and maintain Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), organizational units (OU), user/group access control, DNS/DHCP (if applicable).

- Track and manage Windows Server licensing and ensure compliance with Microsoft licensing models.

- Manage backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Windows Server Backup, Acronis), including regular backups and recovery drills.

- Support periodic Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and restore processes to validate data integrity and recovery readiness.

- Provide L2/L3 technical support for escalated tickets; troubleshoot and resolve issues within defined SLAs.

- Maintain server performance, apply security updates/patches, and ensure infrastructure availability.

- Document system configurations, SOPs, and maintain logs; prepare for audits or compliance reviews as needed.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and other L3 teams for infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and issue resolution.

- Manage and support workloads in Azure cloud environments (if applicable), assisting in cloud-migration initiatives and hybrid setups.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Minimum 1013 years of experience in Windows Systems Administration, System Engineering or similar roles managing enterprise-scale environments.

- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server OS (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP (if applicable).

- Proficiency in VMware virtualization vSphere, ESXi, vCenter administration.

- Hands-on experience with patching tools and remote management (e.g., SCCM, WSUS).

- Experience with SQL Server support at infrastructure level (service monitoring, backups, basic troubleshooting).

- Experience in IIS administration and troubleshooting.

- Solid understanding of Windows Server licensing (CALs, virtualization licensing, licensing compliance).

- Experience with backup and recovery solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Windows Server Backup, etc.).

- Good documentation skills, and experience with ITSM/ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work with cross-functional and vendor teams.

- Familiarity / working experience with Azure cloud hybrid or full-cloud setups. Azure certification(s) (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104) is a plus.

Preferred / Additional Qualifications :

- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE (Windows Server or Azure).

- Proficiency in scripting / automation particularly PowerShell (for automation, admin tasks, deployment scripting).

- Familiarity with monitoring and infrastructure-management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, SCOM, Nagios or similar).

- Experience in ITIL-based support environments.
