Job Description :

1. Mandatory required skills : Windows device drivers, Windows internals, HW level knowledge , C/C++ programming, Windows debugging skills, windbg and tools usage.

2. Good to have : Device driver experience Windows/Linux, C/C++ programming.

3. Minimum Experience looking : 3+yrs

Note from HM :

As a general note, please do not communicate that we are providing Windows device driver training to the new joiners.

Our first preference is for candidates who are solid in Windows device driver development and have expertise in C programming. These candidates should be able to join and start working on issues/features from day one.

Our second preference is for candidates who are good in both Windows device driver development and C programming.

Our last preference is for candidates who are good in Linux device driver development and very good in C programming. With minimal help from the windows driver team, these candidates should be able to start working on Windows device drivers.

As a general note, please share profiles with a minimum of 3+ years of experience.

- He/She should be part of Multi-Media Audio SW team.

- He/She should closely work with Device Drivers & DSP Firmware/Algorithms & SoC/IP teams to develop and deliver drivers for different audio interfaces.

- He/she should also very closely work with Domain/SW Architects to lead the design and development of key audio features.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Design & Develop new audio drivers as per the AMD SW Roadmap commitments.

- Should be responsible for design and develop key features like HDA, SoundWire, I2S, BT & USB Audio playback/capture features.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :

- 3-5 years of work experience

- Experience in system programming & windows device drivers development.

- Experience in Windows kernel programming.

- Experience in Windows device driver development.

- Experience in Windows drivers as WPF, WDM, KMDF, UMDF, Windows Internals & PCI Bus.

- Experience in tools like Windbg, Windows Debug Viewer, ETL, ReadWrite, Windows Logo & HLK, Oscilloscopes & Protocol analyzers like Lecroy USB etc.

- Experience in C, C++ programming & Data Structures.

- Experience in using IDE : Visual Studio
