Windchill Developer

Role Overview :

The Windchill Developer is a senior-level technical position requiring 10+ years of hands-on experience in Windchill development and delivery.

This role is a long-term opportunity (12+ Months) and is Remote in India (Bangalore preferred, but open).

The ideal candidate must be capable of leading and driving technical activities while maintaining strong expertise in Windchill customization, configuration, and solution design.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

Windchill Development and Customization :

- Leverage 10+ years of hands-on experience in Windchill development and delivery across various Windchill modules (e.g., PDMLink, ProjectLink).

- Demonstrate Strong expertise in Windchill customization, utilizing technologies such as Java (JSP, Servlets, Customizations API), XML, HTML, and client-side scripting.

- Perform configuration of Windchill functionality, including lifecycles, workflows, user interfaces, access controls (ACLs), and object initialization rules (OIRs).

- Design and implement complex integrations between Windchill and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CAD tools) using Windchill APIs or EAI tools.

Technical Leadership and Solution Ownership :

- Be capable of leading and driving technical activities across the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to final deployment.

- Demonstrate Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of complex projects and development tasks, delivering production-ready solutions with minimal supervision.

- Translate business requirements and technical specifications into robust Windchill solution design architectures.

- Mandatory requirement : Must be able to develop and demo new functionalities and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem Solving and Quality Assurance :

- Utilize Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Windchill performance, configuration conflicts, and code defects.

- Ensure all developed solutions adhere to performance, security, and coding best practices and are scalable within the enterprise PLM environment.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 10+ years of hands-on experience in Windchill development and delivery.

- Core PLM : Strong expertise in Windchill customization, configuration, and solution design.

- Development : Proficiency in Java (JSP, Customizations API) and web technologies (XML, HTML).

- Leadership : Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of complex projects.

- Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; must be able to develop and demo.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Windchill upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Experience with specific Windchill modules like MPMLink or PartsLink.
