Role Overview :

Willware Technologies is looking for a skilled Software Tester with strong experience in server-side and web-based application testing.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of backend systems, APIs, containerized environments, and authentication mechanisms, along with the ability to ensure product quality through structured test strategies and validation techniques.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Planning & Execution :

- Perform requirement-based and design-based testing across applications

- Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios

- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution

Server & Backend Testing :

- Test server-side applications with web-based clients

- Validate backend workflows, integrations, and data consistency

- Understand and verify system behavior across distributed environments

API & Database Validation :

- Test REST and GraphQL APIs using API testing tools

- Perform SQL queries and database validation to ensure data integrity

- Validate request/response structures, error handling, and performance

Infrastructure & Environment Testing :

- Work with containerized and cloud-native environments

- Validate deployments and services within Kubernetes (pods, services)

- Use tools such as k9s for environment inspection and troubleshooting

Security & Authentication :

- Test authentication and authorization flows using Keycloak or similar IAM tools

- Validate role-based access, token management, and session handling

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement :

- Work closely with Developers, DevOps, and Product teams

- Participate in CI/CD pipelines and support automation initiatives

- Recommend improvements in test coverage, tools, and quality processes

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Core Testing Skills :

- Strong experience in functional, integration, and system testing

- Experience with server-side and web application testing

Technical Skills :

- Solid understanding of server architecture and infrastructure concepts

- Hands-on experience with Keycloak (authentication & authorization)

- Knowledge of networking fundamentals

- Experience with backend systems (BSX or similar platforms)

APIs & Databases :

- Strong knowledge of REST / GraphQL APIs and API testing tools

- Working knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques

Container & Cloud :

- Understanding of Kubernetes concepts (pods, services)

- Experience using k9s or similar monitoring/inspection tools

Good to Have :

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

- Exposure to automated testing frameworks

- Experience in Agile / Scrum environments

- Basic scripting knowledge for automation support
