Role Overview

WillWare Technologies is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) to design and develop scalable, modern applications on SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building CDS-based, service-oriented applications and integrating them with Fiori Elements in enterprise SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and enhance applications using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).

Create and maintain CDS Views :

1. Basic Views

2. Composite Views

3. Consumption Views

- Apply relevant annotations for UI and service exposure.

- Develop Behavior Definitions and Behavior Implementations in RAP.

- Build and expose OData V4 services using RAP.

- Work extensively with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and On-Premise systems.

- Write clean, optimized ABAP code aligned with HANA best practices.

- Integrate RAP-based services with Fiori Elements applications.

- Implement and manage authorization concepts in CDS and RAP.

- Debug and troubleshoot RAP-based applications and resolve production issues.

- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT activities.

- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and Agile delivery processes.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.

- Strong hands-on experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).

- Expertise in CDS Views (Basic, Composite, Consumption) and annotations.

- Experience developing OData V4 services.

- Strong knowledge of S/4HANA architecture (Cloud & On-Prem).

- Proficiency in ABAP on HANA, performance tuning, and optimization.

- Experience with Fiori Elements integration.

- Good understanding of authorization frameworks in CDS and RAP.

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Good to Have :

- Experience with SAP BTP.

- Exposure to Clean Core principles.

- Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5.

- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
